Award Gala: U.S. Entrepreneurs Achieve Victory in Xero's "Beautiful Business" Contest

A total of 28 pioneering small businesses and non-profit organizations have proudly earned a portion of roughly £351,600 ($460,000) through Xero's inaugural Beautiful Business Fund.

Having launched this year, the initiative aims to propel the growth and success of Xero's small business clientele. An impressive number—over 5,500 applications—poured in from diverse global locations, from Australia and Canada to New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and especially the United States.

The accolade was bestowed on those who compellingly showcased their strategies for utilizing the funds towards achieving their business ambitions. Contestants demonstrated their vision through a succinct 90-second video, focusing on key themes such as: Innovating for sustainability, Strengthening community connection, Trailblazing with technology, and Upskilling for the future.

The Proud U.S. Awardees

• Innovating for sustainability: Hand Me Up – A visionary e-commerce platform easing the way families find second-hand children's wear. Their Xero award will be channeled into amplifying online ad presence, upgrading to more spacious warehouse facilities, and adopting eco-friendlier packaging options.
• Strengthening community connection: Rock Recovery – Committed to aiding those grappling with eating disorders and body image issues by making therapy and support more accessible. The fund boost from Xero supports expansion efforts to reach those in need regardless of their financial capacity.
• Trailblazing with technology: SuvaNova – An innovative film production and animation firm that breathes life into client narratives. With Xero's support, they plan to invest in cutting-edge hardware, upskill designers, and revamp their rendering process integrating AI, stepping boldly into real-time animation.
• Upskilling for the future: Moonlighter FabLab – A non-profit fostering innovation and learning. The Xero funds will give their team access to an array of technical training programs, thereby equipping local educators, designers, and engineers to creatively address pressing societal challenges.

Joining these national recipients are global grant winners such as We Care Connect, Constantia Food Club, The Seam, and Buzz Burrows. Each of these four exceptional entities is set to receive a substantial prize of approximately £22,920 ($30,000) alongside the regional perk of about £9,568 ($12,500).
