Courtney mentioned that he had hosted the radio slot numerous times before, joking that people are only now taking notice. Courtney clarified that he has not and would not put himself forward for the Late Late Show, as it is not a topic of conversation for him. He spoke about his career being based on seizing opportunities rather than making specific choices. He emphasized that many elements of television and broadcasting are out of his control, which is why he doesn't waste time thinking about things until they become real.

Courtney shared that being a gay TV presenter in the late 90s and early 2000s was an important aspect of his identity that he is proud of. Initially, his family was shocked when journalists constantly referred to him as a "gay TV presenter," but now he looks back on it with pride.

In support of Focus Ireland, Courtney will be participating in the 'sleep out' event on October 13 to raise €1.2 million to help end family homelessness. He expressed his disappointment in the Government's lack of effective housing measures and hopes that the upcoming budget will address the issue. The 'sleep out' event aims to raise awareness about the problem affecting thousands of Irish families.
