After being absent due to health issues, the 53-year-old made a comeback to Live with Kelly and Mark. She confessed her tendencies on the show, admitting, "I’m such a baby and I’m enraged when I'm sick. I am the angriest patient. I become infuriated."

Mark Consuelos, Ripa's husband and show partner, noted her general good health and how being sick deeply frustrates her. Ripa stated, "I value my health until I'm hit with illness," despite not sharing details about her sickness, she mentioned experiencing a fever.

Consuelos went on to describe the tension her illness brought into their home, saying, "When you start moving around the house, everyone keeps their distance, and you think we're afraid you'll spread germs."

Ripa, in her defense, pointed out the irony in the family's reaction, "Nobody asks if I need help! They just scold me for leaving my room."

Consuelos interjected to break Ripa's complaint spree about the family's response to her bedside manner.

To which Ripa continued, "You're all bringing me things I've never asked for!" adding that her requests were often mistaken for a desire to pick things for herself.

"Typhoid Mary makes an appearance," Consuelos joked, referring to Ripa's tentative steps out of bed amid her illness. "But truly, everyone's afraid of getting sick."

But Ripa claimed she took precautions against spreading the illness, "I was covered head to toe in safety gear – gloves and a mask. So don't tell me about spreading germs. One of you got me sick!" she retorted.

Consuelos denied responsibility, prompting Ripa to humorously blame their daughter, Lola, painting her as the frequent traveler potentially responsible.

As Ripa began to recover, life resumed normalcy in the Consuelos household, with the couple reuniting in their shared bedroom.

"It felt great to finally share the bed again," Consuelos expressed, emphasizing how much he missed her presence at night.

Despite being tagged as a tough patient, Ripa prided herself on her productivity during her sick leave. "I've become a night owl, mysteriously. But look, I've wrapped every single gift. It's all taken care of," she boasted.

Consuelos compared the surprise of the completed tasks to a scene straight out of Elf, showing Ripa's efficiency even while under the weather.
