The season 7 premiere of Rick and Morty, titled "How Poopy Got His Poop Back," introduces the new voices behind the iconic characters. Ian Cardoni now performs the voice of Rick Sanchez, while Harry Belden takes on the role of Morty Smith. John Allen replaces Roiland as the voice of Mr. Poopy Butthole.

This marks the first time that different actors have portrayed the lead characters in Rick and Morty. The decision to recast the voices came after rigorous casting calls lasting six months and concerns about the strain on Roiland's voice.

According to Adult Swim, Belden hails from Chicago and has a background in theater. Cardoni, a Boston native now residing in Los Angeles, has previously appeared in HBO's Clear History alongside Larry David. Both actors bring fresh perspectives to their roles in Rick and Morty.
