Patrick Dempsey and Addison Rae are set to star in the upcoming horror film Thanksgiving, directed by Eli Roth. The film, based on a fake trailer made for Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's 2007 film Grindhouse, is scheduled to hit theaters on November 17. Set in a small Massachusetts town, Thanksgiving follows a serial killer on a quest to turn the holiday into a bloodbath.

Cast and Plot
The cast of Thanksgiving also includes Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Milo Manheim, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon, and Rick Hoffman. In the teaser for the film, Hoffman's character emphasizes the importance of family and togetherness during the holiday season. The trailer depicts an axe-wielding villain in a pilgrim hat terrorizing the town, with one unfortunate victim meeting their fate in a restaurant kitchen.

Thanksgiving is the second fake trailer from Grindhouse to be developed into a full-length feature film. The first was Machete, directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, which starred Danny Trejo and Michelle Rodriguez. The film was released in 2010.

In addition to Eli Roth, the executive producers of Thanksgiving include Gary Barber, Greg Denny, Kate Harrison Karman, and Peter Oillataguerre.
