"Murder, She Wrote" Movie Set at Universal With "Dumb Money" Writers
Universal Pictures is currently working on a film adaptation of the popular TV series "Murder, She Wrote." According to Variety, writers Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, known for their work on "Dumb Money," are attached to the project alongside producer Amy Pascal.

Variety reports that "Murder, She Wrote" is one of their upcoming projects.
The original "Murder, She Wrote" series revolved around mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher, portrayed by Angela Lansbury. The show aired for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996 and was set in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine. Lansbury received Emmy nominations for every season but never won the award.

Blum and Angelo previously collaborated on the screenplay for the biographical dramedy "Dumb Money," featuring an ensemble cast including Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Pete Davidson, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley, America Ferrera, Nick Offerman, Anthony Ramos, Dane DeHaan, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

Their latest project, "Dumb Money," is based on Ben Mezrich's book "The Antisocial Network" and tells the true story of a group of investors involved in the GameStop short squeeze. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film is set to be released in limited theaters on September 15.
Amy Pascal, the former co-chief of Sony Pictures, now leads Pascal Pictures under the Universal banner. Some notable films produced by Pascal include the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse" series, Greta Gerwig's "Little Women," and "Molly's Game."

Blum and Angelo are represented by CAA (Creative Artists Agency). Universal has not yet responded to Variety's request for comment.
