Tensions were spiralling out of control when the recruits had been dragged out of their beds after just four hours of sleep. Then the sleep deprived stars were forced to take part in a tough exercise drill - including lifting heavy sandbags and doing press ups. Struggling to keep up, Argent found himself falling behind in the line of exercises.
Argent's emotional exit and heartfelt confessions
“Thanks number two,” the stars shouted. But it got too much for Arg. In a heartbreaking sequence, the emotional star let all the tears out after he told the ex-special forces officers: “I’m done. I’m done. I’m so sorry.” His number two armband was confiscated from him and he was taken to a separate room where Arg allowed himself to sob. Kind-hearted Arg thanked the officers for having him. He said: "I've battled all these demons so why can’t I battle this? I’ve never pushed myself past the pain barrier. I don’t want to embarrass myself or let anyone down."

Not long after Argent's exit, Zoe Lyons, 51, became the tenth star to go home after she struggled with the tasks. "Zoe, you have given it all but all is not enough,” the officers ruled. “Number 13, step forward. Give us your armband." The comedian was delighted with the decision as she examined her sore feet. She said: "Good call, I was teetering on the edge. I’ve done some s*** I never thought I would do." Earlier in the episode, Lyons laid bare her struggles and discussed the breakdown of her marriage.
Emotional moments and support from loved ones
The recruits had the opportunity to call home and receive support from their loved ones. Matt Hancock was delighted to receive support from his love Gina Coladangelo. Coladangelo asked him: "Is it not as tough as hell?" Fellow recruit Danielle Lloyd was brought to tears when talking to her family on the video call. She said: “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life and I’ve been to hell and back.”
