In response to the halt in production for Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part Two caused by a strike this year, Pegg leapt at the chance to keep busy and decided to direct the music video for Astley’s latest hit, "Forever and More.

With experience from co-writing and starring in Hot Fuzz, Pegg led the music video project supported by his Mission: Impossible crew. Astley's music video, featuring fun adventures and a space escapade, brought about a series of quirky and entirely achievable missions.

"I had a blast shooting the video for 'Forever and More' for Rick Astley," shared Pegg in a statement. "It was my first time directing on this scale and it was made all more enjoyable by Rick and the band.
