Australian extreme metal band THY ART IS MURDER has announced the departure of vocalist Chris "CJ" McMahon. The band's newly released album, "Godlike", does not feature McMahon's vocals, as his replacement finished re-recording the vocals for the album earlier this week.

In response, the band posted a trans flag on Instagram in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
THY ART IS MURDER confirmed McMahon's departure and the removal of his contributions from the "Godlike" album through a statement on social media. The band stated that the decision to remove McMahon was made to preserve the band's integrity and direction.

THY ART IS MURDER's European tour, featuring the new vocalist, is set to begin on September 27 in Oberhausen, Germany.
