Character letters written by Kutcher and Kunis were made public on Friday, in which they referred to Masterson as a "role model" and praised his parenting skills. However, their support for Masterson caused backlash on social media, with many criticizing them for standing by someone convicted of rape while claiming to support victims through their own projects, such as Kutcher's anti-human trafficking organization Thorn and Kunis' role in the film "Luckiest Girl Alive", where she portrays a rape survivor.
