"I’m so excited, and when I was told there was potential to do this, it was like, 'Absolutely.' That's someone I need to wrestle," Deonna Purrazzo said. "It's someone that, when fans talk about a dream match, has consistently popped up over the last few years. I just think it’s cool to see that our paths have never crossed, but we’ve been in so many similar places. Me in Japan, her coming to the states, and winning a championship in Japan is something that eluded me until now."

Purrazzo also revealed that winning the NJPW STRONG Women's Championship has been a long-time goal for her. She sees this opportunity as the perfect blend of her aspirations and achievements.

"I get the opportunity to compete for the New Japan STRONG Women's Championship. That's something I want to check off my list of things I've always wanted to do," Purrazzo said.
