James Cleverly has strongly disagreed with Boris Johnson's accusations against Rishi Sunak for not providing enough support to Ukraine.

During an interview on Sky News, Trevor Phillips presented Johnson's comments to Cleverly, who responded saying, "He cannot be talking about the United Kingdom.

"Under his leadership, and I always acknowledge his contribution in this regard, we supplied the NLAW anti-tank missile systems that played a crucial role in defending Kyiv. We also provided training," Cleverly explained.

"Furthermore, we were the first to commit to long-range missiles, which have been instrumental in assisting the Ukrainians in their battle in the south and south-east of Ukraine. We have been at the forefront of these efforts," Cleverly emphasized.

However, Phillips challenged Cleverly, stating, "Surely Boris Johnson should understand the concept of pacing? He was the quickest among western leaders to respond. And now he claims that the momentum he initiated is being lost under your administration. This is a serious matter that you need to address."

Cleverly responded, "I do take his comments seriously, but I have just presented you with evidence that proves him wrong on this issue.

"I regularly communicate with the Ukrainians on this matter, and they are incredibly grateful not only for our contributions but also for our leadership," Cleverly concluded.
