Rudy Giuliani's Shocking Fate: An Unexpected D.C. Recommendation

A disciplinary committee in Washington, D.C., has recommended that Rudy Giuliani be disbarred due to his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

According to the committee's recommendation to the D.C. Bar, they believe a strong sanction is necessary to prevent Giuliani and other attorneys from engaging in similar behavior in the future.

After months of deliberation and weekslong hearings, the panel of D.C. attorneys concluded that Giuliani worked to undermine the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

In particular, the committee highlighted Giuliani's legal efforts to claim election fraud in Pennsylvania, despite Joe Biden winning the state by over 80,000 votes.

Giuliani's involvement began with a complaint about "observational boundaries" in Philadelphia's mail-in ballot canvassing, which were implemented to protect workers from COVID-19.

The committee's report states that Giuliani had no evidence to support his claims of massive election fraud. As a result, they argue that he has forfeited his right to practice law and should be disbarred.

This is not the first time Giuliani has faced disciplinary action. His law license was previously suspended in New York in 2021 for making false and misleading statements about the 2020 election.

In June, Giuliani was interviewed by the Justice Department as part of a special counsel investigation into efforts to overturn the election.

Giuliani's spokesperson, Ted Goodman, stated that the interview was voluntary and conducted professionally.

Giuliani intends to challenge the committee's recommendation, according to his attorney, Barry Kamins.
