Significant architectural elements like an imposing central staircase and the palazzo's main UNESCO-listed facade, which faces the lively Via del Corso, have been meticulously restored as part of the renovation spearheaded by Studio Urquiola.

A Bold Fusion of Heritage and Design

The hotel's entrance unfolds into an inviting open lobby and communal space, put together using a selection of seating from Urquiola's collections and classic Italian furniture pieces. These are thoughtfully arranged on circular rugs amidst lush greenery, creating intimate seating areas on the travertine flooring.

"At every turn, the craftsmanship, the finishes, the materials and the graphics create a union with nature while staying true to both Roman classicism and Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini's rich history," stated Urquiola.

Near the expansive windows, a striking curved green marble bar commands attention, curving in harmony with the courtyard's counters and the overhead earth-toned steelwork that echoes the circular theme found throughout the hotel.

The courtyard extends this circular dialogue, featuring integrated benches within planters and additional seating where guests can savor delicacies from the trattoria-inspired Bivium restaurant.

The signature circular designs continue their narrative into the Six Senses Spa and Roman baths, situated on the first floor. Here, sheer curtains encircle seating zones providing privacy for guests preparing to immerse in the tiered bathhouse pools set amidst travertine-based surroundings.

Staying true to the legacy of antiquity, all guestrooms harness the beauty of cocciopesto plaster, a composite material that references the ingenuity of the Roman architect Vitruvius. The rooms, adorned with tambour panelling, patterned rugs, and spherical light fixtures, carry through the hotel's commitment to a soft, neutral palette.

Several of the Six Senses Rome's 96 guestrooms and suites feature balconies offering courtyard or city vistas. Their design is further enriched by the selection of artworks, curated by art advisor Federica Sala, lending each space within the hotel a unique artistic identity.

The hotel is also proud to showcase Notos, its rooftop terrace and bar, which presents patrons with sweeping views of Rome's skyline alongside a menu of botanical cocktails and light bites.
