Irish singer Siva Kaneswaran shared his heartbreak on the reality show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins over the cancer diagnosis of his bandmate Tom Parker. In a task where recruits had to write final letters to their loved ones, Kaneswaran expressed his emotions about visiting Parker. The 33-year-old Parker passed away in March 2022 due to a brain tumor.

Kaneswaran, along with Parker, Max George, Jay McGuiness, and Nathan Sykes, rose to fame in 2009 as part of the boyband The Wanted. Kaneswaran's letter conveyed his love for his family and band members, mentioning his tender place in his heart for them. He ended the letter by saying that he was going to see Tom and would send a postcard.

He mentioned that he is not fond of being out of his comfort zone but has learned to live life to the fullest and not sweat the small stuff. The recruits also participated in tasks like a muddy water game called Murderball, where they fought to get a coconut across.
