Happy Valley's Siobhan Finneran leads new thriller with Katherine Kelly

Siobhan Finneran, known for her role in Happy Valley, is set to star in a new thriller alongside Katherine Kelly. The series, titled Protection, revolves around Finneran's character's mission to redeem herself and ensure the safety of her protected witnesses, some of whom have questionable morals.

Inspired by real experiences

The show, created by Kris Mrksa, draws inspiration from the first-hand experiences of a long-serving witness protection officer. Mrksa explains that Protection is not only a suspenseful conspiracy thriller, but also explores complex moral questions about the lengths one should go to serve the greater good.

Filming and premiere
