Shania Twain Enchants at Abu Dhabi F1 with Nostalgic Performance
It felt like a step back in time at Etihad Park as Shania Twain captivated the audience with a medley of hits at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix concert. The Canadian powerhouse showcased why she owned the '90s pop scene, engaging the crowd with sing-along classics.

The icon proved her artistry is far from stagnant, introducing spirited new tracks from her latest album, Queen of Me. Released earlier this year, the album illustrates Twain's undiminished talent and evolution.
Accompanied by her band, Twain opened the show with the album's vibrant lead single, Waking Up Dreaming, setting the stage with glistening synth-pop sounds. Her distinctive husky voice, laced with that recognizable twang, never sounded better.

With energizing beats, Twain's self-empowerment anthem, Up, brought a synergistic blend of country-pop to life. The audience was treated to the refreshing live rendition of Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You), featuring dynamic electric guitar riffs and crystal clear backing vocals that breathed new life into the track.
Despite a noticeable tentativeness in stage presence that may stem from a hiatus in international touring, Twain's connection with the audience remained intact. Between vocal intervals, her engagement seemed hesitant, yet two exuberant backup dancers infused every performance with infectious high energy.

Taking hold of the guitar, Twain seemed in her element with the heartwarming pair, Come On Over and You're Still the One. These songs are quintessential Shania, blending her sweet, honey-toned voice with gentle country rhythms and Celtic strings. The backing harmonies in You're Still the One were especially alluring.
Twain delivered a stomping performance with Giddy Up's fiery fiddle and showcased a rare treat with Rock this Country's Americana-folk, not commonly heard in the UAE. Saving some of her most powerful hits for last, Twain moved the audience with the emotional From This Moment, and delivered a commanding version of That Don't Impress Me Much.

The concert reached its peak with Man! I Feel Like a Women, ending the night on a high note as fans joined in for a therapeutic mass singalong. After three decades, Twain's Middle East premiere wrapped up beautifully, proving these anthemic tunes withstand the test of time.
The F1 after-race excitement continues, culminating in the race day concert featuring the legendary Foo Fighters.
