In an interview with British Vogue, actor Ncuti Gatwa, who is set to play the Doctor, shared a conversation he had with Gosling on the set of Barbie. Gatwa recalled Gosling's excitement, stating, "I remember Ryan Gosling bounding up to my trailer like, 'Doctor Who is the coolest show in the world, man!' This show has incredible reach."
