The MoD stated that additional funding will be necessary to support healthcare costs and payments for the increasing number of wounded soldiers and the families of those who lost their lives in the conflict.

The report highlighted that more than half of the severely wounded soldiers require long-term medical care, with one in five requiring upper limb amputations. These injured soldiers are likely to require lifelong healthcare.

Growing Russian Casualties and Economic Impact

In a separate intelligence briefing, the UK government disclosed that the number of Russian casualties in the war is nearing 300,000, with nearly 200,000 either killed or permanently injured.
