A reader attends EGX 2023 with his seven-year-old son, where they both try out Super Mario Bros. Wonder, PSVR2, and more.

Last Sunday, EGX 2023 took place at the ExCel Centre in London, and it was the first time the reader's son, aged seven, attended the expo. Despite being smaller than previous years due to Covid-19, it showed promise for the future and remains the UK's biggest video game event.
Netflix brings the extraordinary world of Prodigy to viewers - TrekMovie.comThe reader's son's first experience was playing C-Smash VRS on PlayStation VR2, where he tried virtual squash using the VR headset and Sense controllers. Next, the reader played Wargroove 2 on the Nintendo Switch, enjoying the tutorial level while hoping for a future physical release of the game.

Following that, they both attended The Story of Mario + Rabbids with Grant Kirkhope talk, where the reader found it entertaining, although the son got bored after 20 minutes. Other highlights included gaming on the gaming bus, playing Sonic Superstars at the Specsavers stand, and trying out Persona 5 Tactica, a tactics-based spin-off of Persona 5.

The reader concludes that the day was fun and busy, and his son has already expressed interest in going back to EGX next year.
Finally, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta was being promoted at the expo, attracting a lot of attention. The reader, unfortunately, couldn't play it due to certain reasons.
Overall, both the reader and his son had a great day at EGX 2023, trying out unexpected titles and enjoying the experience.
