Unite the People attorney Crystal Morgan, representing Lanez, stated that the legal team remains committed to fighting for Lanez's rights and may file a similar motion for bail in the appellate court. She expressed disappointment but emphasized that it would not deter them from their mission.

In December, Lanez was found guilty of three felonies related to the shooting incident, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
