The Field of Remembrance event is held every year, spearheaded by the Poppy Factory—a charitable organization under the patronage of Queen Camilla—dedicated to commemorating and honoring those who have lost their lives while serving in the armed forces. A custom spanning decades, the North Green of Westminster Abbey serves as a sanctuary to place poppies, and it is a common sight to see members of the royal family donning crimson poppy pins throughout November to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers.

Upon arrival at the Abbey, Queen Camilla was cordially welcomed by the Very Reverend Dr. David Hoyle, the Dean of Westminster, alongside Vice Admiral Sir Clive Johnstone, national president of the Royal British Legion, and Surgeon Rear Admiral Lionel Jarvis, President of The Poppy Factory. Reflecting on her visit, the Dean stated, "She’s marvellous. She’s deeply committed to this job – she’s only sorry she can’t stay longer. That act of remembrance is deeply serious and deeply sombre, but there’s a lot of joy and hope in this community, so she was enjoying that."
