Rising Tension in Big Brother Leads to Overwhelming Ofcom Complaints
With the finale of Big Brother's revived season fast approaching, a mere week remains before one of the 16 fresh housemates—chosen from an overwhelming pool of over 30,000 applicants—takes the crown.

The atmosphere within Big Brother's walls has charged, as feuds intensify among contestants. Harsh interactions particularly involving the competitive frontrunners, Trish and Noky, and other remaining participants such as Chanelle, Olivia, Tom, and Jenkin have spiked the tension.
Complaints Pile Up Against Big Brother Housemates
A surge of complaints has been directed at Ofcom focused on the alleged unfair treatment of Trish and Noky by their housemates. The issues came to light when the duo was tasked to covertly select three housemates for nomination on Halloween, sparking a confrontation with Dylan.

The immediate aftermath of this Halloween episode led to a staggering 768 Ofcom complaints. The subsequent night's episode accrued nearly 100 more grievances, while 97 complaints emerged focusing on the conduct of Olivia, Tom, Jenkin, and Chanelle towards the tormented pair.

Another sequence of events on 3 November initiated 161 further complaints, pinpointing once again the treatment of Trish and Noky by the same housemates and bringing the total number to over 1,062 complaints.

As per protocol, Ofcom is currently evaluating these complaints to decide whether to pursue further action.
Host and ITV Respond to Big Brother Controversy
Amid the heat of the debates, Big Brother host AJ Odudu openly criticized Tom's negative characterizations of Trish on the related program Late & Live on ITV2. AJ's pointed commentary supported Trish's side of the story and underscored the repetitive nature of the criticism directed at her.

In response to the unfolding drama, ITV referred to their duty of care protocols, emphasizing the housemates received extensive guidance regarding respect, inclusion, and expected behavior before joining the show. The protocol also detailed the continuous welfare monitoring and the availability of mental health professionals to provide ongoing support.
The production company behind Big Brother, Banijay, did not provide a comment on the situation.
