Rebecca Adlington reveals late miscarriage of baby daughter, saying she is 'truly heartbroken'

Former Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington has shared her devastating news of losing her baby daughter at 20 weeks pregnant. Adlington took to Instagram to express her heartbreak, stating that during her 20-week scan, no heartbeat was detected. Adlington and her husband welcomed their angel, Harper, into the world on Friday at 7pm and were able to spend precious time with her. Adlington expressed that she doesn't have the strength to individually share the news and also mentioned her previous miscarriage at 12 weeks last year, which led to emergency surgery due to sepsis. Adlington expressed gratitude towards the staff at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester for their incredible kindness and care. She also acknowledged her husband's selfless support, love, and assistance throughout this difficult time. Adlington is already a mother to daughter Summer, from her previous marriage, and son Albie with her husband Andy. The couple excitedly revealed their September pregnancy announcement with a post from Disneyland.
