Special effects artist Christine Overs, known for her work on beach and snow sets, claims that she fell from a polystyrene step onto a concrete floor while sculpting a lagoon scene at Pinewood Studios in October 2020. Overs alleges that the production company failed to provide adequate access to the set, leading to her wrist injury.

Overs told the Central London county court that the fall resulted in the need for surgery and the insertion of steel pins in her arm. The 74-year-old artist has previously worked on films like "Dune," "Alien," "Superman IV," and "Golden Eye." She was also a former member of Jim Henson's creature workshop.

Sandcastle Pictures, the Disney-owned production company responsible for the shoot, has admitted liability for the fall. However, they are disputing the compensation amount sought by Overs. A legal trial to determine the exact figure will be scheduled for a later date.
