Yesterday, the Met Office posted on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that there will be further rain for everyone in the coming days, although the exact details are uncertain.

Accompanying their post was a grim-looking graphic depicting the entire UK turning blue to represent heavy rainfall over the next week.

The post quickly gained attention, with over 50,000 views on X within 24 hours.

It's important to note that the nature of showers means that there will be significant variations in rainfall over short distances, which may not be fully captured in the 3D visual.

According to the Met Office's website, the headline weather for the week is expected to remain unsettled throughout the coming days.

The forecast mentions rain for every day, with heavy downpours expected from Friday to Sunday, interposed with periods of sunshine and showers.

A yellow warning for fog has also been issued for Hull, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Nottingham, Birmingham, Peterborough, and Norwich on Wednesday.

Flood warnings are also still in place for England and Wales following the recent onslaught of Storm Babet.
