Lydia Dingle Shares Trauma with Family in Upcoming Emmerdale Episodes

Lydia Dingle, a character on the popular soap opera Emmerdale, will turn to her family for support after her horrific ordeal with Craig Reed. Since being raped by Craig last month, Lydia has been suffering in silence, but an upcoming storyline will reveal a turning point as she seeks help.
Kim Tate will be the first person Lydia confides in, with the emotional scenes set to air in this week's episode. Meanwhile, Lydia's husband Sam becomes concerned when she leaves to stay with her mother without a proper explanation.

During a conversation with Kim, Sam grows worried when they discover that Lydia is not at her mother's place as previously believed. Frustrated, Sam demands answers from Kim.

In the meantime, Lydia listens to a heartfelt voice message from Sam while staying at a B&B. This leads her to question her decision to run away. However, back in the village, Mandy worsens the situation by spreading a false rumor that Lydia is having an affair.

Mandy shares her suspicions with Sam, but their conversation is interrupted when Lydia finally returns home. The Dingle family is taken aback as Lydia bravely reveals her rape trauma.

"Sam is going to really struggle to come to terms with it and his feelings of helplessness and inadequacy. He just wants to help Lydia, but he doesn't know what to do or how to help," shared a source. "We really see just how difficult it is, not just for Lydia, but for absolutely everyone around her as well."
