The selection process involved three submissions, including William Okoth's 'Unheard Voices' and Wangechi Ngugi's 'Shimoni', which premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival and Rotterdam, respectively.
Chairperson of Kenya's Oscar Committee, Krysteen Savane, expressed her impression of the quality of the submitted films this year, noting an improvement in storytelling and acting.
