Despite concerns over the series being axed following backlash from Jeremy's scathing newspaper column about the Duchess of Sussex, James reassured fans that more specials of The Grand Tour were in the works.

"We don't often think more than about a year in advance because let's face it, we're old so you can't. We've got another one about to come out, we've just filmed another one a few weeks ago and we've got another one planned to film later this year. What happens after that I don't know, it's a bit of a grey fog, it always is," James shared.

Last year, Jeremy caused uncertainty surrounding the future of The Grand Tour when he published a column in The Sun targeting Meghan Markle. The Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) later deemed the column as sexist, receiving over 25,000 complaints.
