During an appearance on This Morning, Argent revealed his experience of getting to know Matt Hancock. He stated, "I actually slept next to Matt. I think I had to take everyone at face value and I gave the opportunity to try and get to know them all. I got on quite well with Matt. He really took it seriously and gave 110%. He couldn't try any harder, he did very very well."

Argent admitted that he had always been a fan of the show but never imagined participating. However, this year he passed the medical examination and embraced the opportunity. He mentioned the existence of a WhatsApp group formed by the contestants, but felt that he might have annoyed the others, as his messages often went unanswered.

He said, "I was one of the people that would turn up and not have my water bottle full, which would cause other people to have to do burpees and press ups. I'd sometimes come without my belt and my bag wasn't a certain weight. I think I drove people a bit mad, but it was a great experience."
