Netflix Unveils Exciting Sneak Peek of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" Live-Action Series

Netflix has just released first look photos of some of the Fire Nation characters from the highly anticipated "Avatar: The Last Airbender" live-action series. The new images feature Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula, and Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko. These sneak peeks follow previously shared photos of Aang, Katara, Sakka, and Zuko.

The live-action adaptation of "Last Airbender" is set to premiere in 2024 with an eight-episode first season. Fans can expect the series to stay true to the beloved animated version, which follows Aang's journey as the last airbender and his mission to restore peace to a world ravaged by war caused by the Fire Nation.

Albert Kim serves as the showrunner and executive producer of the series, alongside producers Jabbar Raisani, Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberatore, and Michael Goi. Raisani and Goi also double as directors, while Roseanne Liang and Jet Wilkinson contribute as directors and co-executive producers.

In addition to the Netflix series, "Avatar" creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are working on an animated film under the Avatar Studios banner, continuing the story of Aang and his friends. The film is scheduled to premiere in late 2025.
