Review: DJI Osmo Action 4 Adventure Combo
When my friend saw the DJI Osmo Action 4 attached to my bike, they thought it was a new GoPro. While GoPro has dominated the action camera market, DJI's Osmo series has been playing catch-up. However, the latest version, the Osmo Action 4, finally surpasses its rival in performance and features.
Disclaimer: DJI provided us with the Osmo Action 3 and Action 4 for review, and I found that the differences between them were minimal. Therefore, this review applies to both models.

The Osmo Action 3, currently priced at £259 (reduced from £309), was released about a year ago. The new Osmo Action 4 is a minor update but introduces some useful features.
Updates
The most significant improvement in the Osmo Action 4 is its larger sensor. While the 3 has a 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor, the 4 boasts a slightly bigger 1/1.3-inch sensor. This upgrade results in sharper, less grainy images, especially in low-light conditions.

It also supports gyro data exportation for more advanced post-production stabilization. Additionally, it integrates with a GPS Bluetooth remote, allowing users to overlay telemetry stats on their footage.
Aside from these updates, the Osmo 3 and 4 have identical functionality. Both cameras offer intuitive software, responsive touchscreens, and impressive daylight footage.

The DJI Osmo Action 4 Adventure Combo is one of the top action cameras available. While it falls within a similar price range as the GoPro Hero12, the Osmo 4 offers unique advantages that make it a preferred choice for many users.
