Time for Change

IATSE President Matthew D. Loeb emphasized that IATSE was founded by entertainment industry workers who faced challenges such as long hours, precarious employment, and inadequate pay. Loeb stated, "The issues facing video game workers are the very issues this union has fought to address through collective bargaining for 130 years." He also mentioned the growing presence of major IATSE employers in the gaming industry, as well as the increasing solidarity within the entertainment industry, pointing to the importance of this moment.
