The acclaimed actor will be gracing the stage at London's Old Vic in November, bringing a fresh twist to Matthew Warchus's production. This will mark the seventh stage adaptation of the show, following previous performances by Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead and Paterson Joseph from Vigil.

Christopher Eccleston shared his excitement about embracing the deep psychology of Scrooge, stating, "As a child, I read and watched every and any version of A Christmas Carol because of a fascination with Scrooge's psychology. As a young actor, I read everything I could about the legendary Old Vic. I'm a very lucky man to be part of this production and cannot wait to meet our audiences."

Director Matthew Warchus expressed his delight in working with Eccleston and bringing the beloved story back to life, promising a production filled with joy and festive spirit for both new and returning audiences.

The revival of A Christmas Carol, starring Christopher Eccleston as Scrooge, will run from November 11, 2023, to January 6, 2024, at London's Old Vic.
