Busted's Greatest Hits 2.0 Tops the Charts, Becoming Their First Number 1 Album

The latest album from Busted, titled Greatest Hits 2.0, has claimed the top spot on the charts, marking the band's first-ever Number 1 album. This special edition release features collaborations with popular artists including Jonas Brothers, James Arthur, and McFly. Busted's previous albums, such as their 2002 self-titled album and 2019's Half Way There, have also achieved chart success, but Greatest Hits 2.0 has now become their most successful release to date.

The success of Greatest Hits 2.0 extends beyond just the overall charts. It has also claimed the top positions on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, Official Album Downloads Chart, and the Official Record Store Chart. Notably, a significant portion of the album's sales were physical copies, with 78% of its total sales coming from physical formats.

Last week's chart-topper, Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS, remains a strong contender in its second week, holding the Number 2 position. The album was also the most-streamed release in the UK over the past seven days. Additionally, another album from Olivia, SOUR, has climbed three spots to reach Number 5 on this week's charts.

Other notable entries in the Top 5 include Mitski's seventh studio record, The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We, which achieved her highest chart position to date at Number 4. Ash, the Northern Irish rockers, made a successful comeback with their album Race the Night. It debuted at Number 14, becoming their highest-charting album in the past 19 years since their 2004 release Meltdown.

Corey Taylor, known for his work as the lead vocalist of Slipknot, earned his second Top 20 album as a solo artist with CMF2. The album debuted at Number 17, following his successful debut solo album CMFT in 2020. Furthermore, The Who's iconic album Who's Next reentered the Top 40 for the first time since 1972, thanks to a special 50th anniversary reissue.
