Croft, born on July 12, 1966, in Farnborough, Kent, has always been an active individual. Tennis became her passion at a young age, thanks to her mother's influence. She started playing tennis at nine years old, eventually winning the tennis nationals as a rank outsider. Despite a successful tennis career, she retired at 21 due to a string of losses at major tournaments and the loneliness she experienced while on tour.
