Zain Saudi Arabia Partners with Red Sea Global for World's First Zero-Carbon 5G Network
Zain Saudi Arabia has joined forces with tourism developer Red Sea Global to launch the world's first zero-carbon 5G network, in accordance with the Saudi Arabian government's green initiatives. The green network will cover a 28,000-square-kilometre holiday resort in Saudi Arabia and will be powered by 760,000 solar panels, showcasing the country's commitment to sustainability and clean energy.

Setting New Standards in Sustainable Development
The deployment of the zero-carbon 5G network coincides with the Red Sea's upcoming opening of 50 tourist resorts and over a thousand residential properties across the islands later this year. Zain Saudi Arabia has built cell towers for the project, which will be shared with other operators, demonstrating their dedication to local innovation and environmental goals.

CEO of Zain Saudi Arabia, Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al-Deghaither, expressed the company's commitment to supporting the Saudi Arabian government in their digital transformation and environmental objectives. He emphasized Zain's focus on localizing innovation and promoting locally sourced content.

John Pagano, the group CEO at Red Sea Global, also commented on the partnership, stating that both Red Sea Global and Zain aim to set new standards in sustainable development.
