Activision sends cease and desist to Warzone player sharing Verdansk access in 2023

Activision, the developer of Warzone, has taken action against a player who was sharing access to the popular Verdansk battle royale map. The map, which was introduced in 2020, became a favorite among players, and its removal was met with disappointment.

However, some community members have taken it upon themselves to bring Verdansk back, without the approval of Activision. One player, known as 'HeyImAlaix', shared screenshots and footage of Verdansk in action on Twitter, as well as links for others to join private matches.

While a new battle royale map is on the horizon with Modern Warfare 3, it remains uncertain if Verdansk will make a return in the future. Currently, there are no plans for its revival.
