AdGuard, another ad-blocking software, reported approximately 6,000 daily uninstallations on Chrome. However, the count grew to 1,100 per day from the second week of October until the end of the month. AdGuard noted that the uninstallations peaked at 52,000 on October 18, which is when YouTube implemented its ad-blocking measures.

The company reported an increase in installations for the premium version, with 60,000 installations between October 18 and October 27.

Currently, it seems that YouTube's crackdown on ad blockers has pushed users to search for better alternatives. Some users are turning to platforms like Newpipe, which provides YouTube-like videos without any ads. This shift in user behavior doesn't come as a surprise.
Industry experts have already cautioned YouTube about its ad-blocking efforts. For instance, Modras highlighted the potential for more complex blocking tactics that may inadvertently create security vulnerabilities.
