Affordable 4G Variant of Oppo A58 with a Larger Display
Last year, Oppo unveiled an affordable 5G phone known as the Oppo A58. Now, the company has released a 4G variant with a larger, better display and a different chipset.
The new Oppo A58 4G has made its debut in Indonesia, and it is available for IDR 2,500,000 ($165/€150/₹13,500). Deliveries will start on July 28. The phone comes in Dazzling Green and Glowing Black, maintaining the previous model's design with the exception of the 8MP selfie camera, which now has a punch hole instead of a notch.

The display of the Oppo A58 4G features a larger 6.72" FHD+ panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400px and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The refresh rate has dropped to 60Hz, but it offers a 180Hz touch sampling rate. With 100% coverage of DCI-P3 and sRGB, it boasts a typical brightness of 550 nits and a maximum brightness of 680 nits. These upgrades result in a sharper and brighter display with a density of 391ppi.

The Oppo A58 4G features a 2MP depth sensor alongside the 50MP rear camera (75.5° f/1.8 lens) and the 8MP punch-hole selfie camera.

Despite the larger display, the Oppo A58 4G maintains a thickness of 8mm and a weight of 192g. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charging, allowing for 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
The microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, and side-mounted fingerprint reader remain unchanged. The body of the phone is IPX4 rated for resistance against water splashes. The differences between the Oppo A58 4G and its 5G predecessor are similar to the differences between the A78 4G and A78 5G models.
