Comcast has unveiled its latest innovation in the form of Storm-Ready Wi-Fi, a service specifically designed to keep you connected during stormy weather or local outages. With a cellular back-up and a four-hour rechargeable battery, Comcast ensures uninterrupted internet access, even in the face of power loss.
The Power to Stay Connected
When the power goes out, Storm-Ready Wi-Fi automatically switches to the cellular back-up, allowing customers to continue using their internet. This device is also an extender, boosting the internet connection in hard-to-reach areas of your home.

Comcast takes pride in being the first internet provider to offer a product that can maintain connectivity during storms, when trees are down or local outages occur. While Eero offers a similar feature, Comcast's Storm-Ready Wi-Fi is specifically designed to handle stormy weather conditions.
Wi-Fi 6 Compatibility
In addition to its storm-ready capabilities, Comcast's latest product is also compatible with Wi-Fi 6, the latest iteration of the Wi-Fi network protocol. This ensures faster and more reliable connections for users.

Emily Waldorf, Comcast Cable SVP of consumer internet services, emphasized the importance of reliable Wi-Fi connectivity in our daily lives. She said, "With so much of our daily lives dependent on Wi-Fi connectivity, we knew our customers needed a product that could help keep them connected no matter what life throws at them – even during a storm."
Preparing for the Atlantic Hurricane Season
Comcast's announcement of Storm-Ready Wi-Fi comes at the height of the US hurricane season, which is expected to last until November 30th. In light of this, Comcast aims to provide customers with peace of mind and uninterrupted internet access, even in the face of potential storms.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, this year's Atlantic hurricane season is predicted to generate between 12 and 17 storms. Comcast is committed to ensuring its customers stay connected and informed during these severe weather events.
Availability and Pricing
The Storm-Ready Wi-Fi is available for users of the Xfinity 10G network. Customers can subscribe to the service for $7 per month for a duration of 36 months.

Comcast continues to prioritize customer satisfaction and strives to provide the most reliable and accessible internet connectivity, no matter the circumstances.
