The Technological Sector Advancement Fund (TSAF) has been introduced by the Irish Government to provide a €50m boost to Technological Universities (TUs) and enhance their support for local regions. The fund will cover the costs of ongoing and upcoming initiatives undertaken by TUs in Ireland.

The TSAF is a continuation of previous funding efforts, such as the HE Landscape Fund and the TU Fund, which aimed to convert former Institutes of Technology into TUs. The focus now is to move beyond the establishment phase and concentrate on integrating TUs within their regions.

  2. Enable institutions to achieve their strategic ambitions.
  3. Enhance the capabilities of the technological sector.<
  4. Demonstrate the economic, social, and educational impact across regions in Ireland.
