We had heard that Samsung was discontinuing its Galaxy Fan Edition smartphones, but new rumors suggest that we might still see a new edition of these fan-favorite devices. While Samsung has not yet confirmed the existence of the Galaxy S23 FE, renders leaked by OnLeaks give us a good idea of what the phone might look like.
The renders reveal a familiar design that resembles the Galaxy S23 Series or the latest Galaxy A-series of smartphones. Based on the renders, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE looks similar in appearance to the Galaxy A54. It is said to share almost identical dimensions of 158 x 76.3 x 8.2mm. And both phones have a centered punch-hole display and triple rear cameras.

Notably, the smartphone is expected to have a telephoto camera sensor, which is a rare feature in phones in this price range. This would be a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE, which did not have a telephoto camera.
The S23 FE has its volume rocker and power button on the right side, while the USB-C port, microphone, and speaker grille are on the bottom. There is another opening present at the top of the phone, which could be for the secondary microphone. The SIM card slot may also be located at the top, although it is not depicted in the renders.

The Galaxy A54 has a 5,000 mAh battery, while the S23 FE is rumored to sport a slightly smaller 4,500 mAh battery with 25W charging.
OnLeaks has only shared the dimensions and renders of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. As a result, we have to take the rest of the specifications with a grain of salt. Although the display and dimensions of the S23 FE and A54 could be the same, the S23 FE might distinguish itself with its internals.
Get Ahead: Sneak Peek Into the Dynamic New Samsung Galaxy S23 FEThe S23 FE could use a superior Exynos 2200 SoC, which is found in the European Galaxy S22 series. This would be an upgrade over the Exynos 1380 SoC found in the A54. While the Exynos 2200 has better performance, we are skeptical of its sustained performance considering previous experiences with the SoC.
Moreover, Samsung is reportedly planning to release the Galaxy S23 FE in limited quantities in Q3 2023. A broader release is expected to follow in the coming months. We expect to learn more about the phone’s release schedule soon.
