This move follows a previous clash between the two technology giants, where Samsung Display attempted to restrict the sale of OLED panels in the US, citing the alleged usage of stolen technologies in Chinese manufacturing. Although this action was not directly aimed at BOE, the company retaliated by covering the costs for the wholesalers involved. Consequently, the International Trade Commission launched an investigation at the beginning of 2023.
