Design and Battery Life

Sharp has focused on two key aspects for the Sense8: a user-friendly camera and a long-lasting battery. The phone boasts an upgraded battery capacity of 5,000mAh (previously 4,570mAh on the Sense7), all while maintaining a lightweight design of just 159g. With its premium aluminum unibody and IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, the Sense8 strikes the perfect balance between style and durability.

Display and Performance

The Sense8 boasts a 6.1” IGZO OLED panel with 1,080 x 2,432px resolution. Its variable refresh rate ranges from 1 to 90Hz, with black frame insertion, providing a smooth experience akin to a 180Hz display. The brightness reaches an impressive 1,300 nits. This is a significant upgrade compared to the Sense7, which featured a 60Hz display.

Under the hood, the Sense8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. Its CPU is 36% faster, and the GPU offers a 33% boost in performance compared to the Sense7's Snapdragon 695. Paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card), this device ensures seamless multitasking and ample storage space.

The main sensor also supports native 2x zoom functionality. Sharp has added optical image stabilization (OIS) to the Sense8, enhancing image stabilization and reducing blurriness. Additionally, there is an 8MP ultra-wide camera module on the back, providing a versatile photography experience.
