The Google Camera app that has been exclusive to Pixel devices has undergone a transformation courtesy of Google. Pixel owners will now see the app titled as Pixel Camera in their app library. Additionally, Google has also updated the app's description on the Google Play Store.

The rebranded Pixel Camera app now boasts a new description that emphasizes its redesigned features. Users can look forward to capturing stunning photos and videos with this revamped camera app, thanks to its Portrait, Night Sight, Time Lapse, and Cinematic Blur functionalities.

While the app bears the same name across various Pixel devices, the version may differ. For instance, the Google Pixel 7 Pro, Fold, and Tablet will receive version 9.0. On the other hand, the recently released Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are based on version 9.1 and are expected to receive a patch.

The all-new Google Pixel Camera app is exclusively available for devices running Android 14. Similarly, the version designed for Wear OS is only compatible with devices operating on Wear OS 3 or above. For Wear OS devices, maintaining connectivity with Pixel smartphones is essential.

Notably, the Pixel Camera app listing highlights the "Pixel 8 Pro Features." These include the 50MP High Res capture functionality and Pro Controls. Moreover, the app screenshots featured in the Google Play Store depict the Pixel 8 Pro.
