The latest version of the Pixel Camera app is now available for various Pixel devices, including the Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8, and 8 Pro. However, it's important to note that the version for each device might vary. For instance, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are currently on version 9.1, while the other devices are on version 9.0.

Enhanced Sharing with Google Photos

Not only did Google update the camera app, but it also introduced a new feature for Google Photos. With the native Android 14 share sheet, sharing your favorite images is even easier. When you click on the share icon, a dynamic "Sharing image" sheet appears, allowing you to select multiple images to share at once. This new feature streamlines the sharing process and saves you time.

The new share sheet also includes the Markup tool, represented by a pencil icon, for quick edits right within the app. Additionally, you'll find various Google Photos actions like Create Link, Send in Photos, and Add to Album in an easy-to-navigate carousel. The Direct Share targets, including frequently used apps, are also conveniently displayed.

This revamped share sheet is currently available on version 5.65 of Google Photos for Pixel smartphones running Android 14. If you haven't received the update yet, don't worry. Devices running Android 13 and older versions will continue to use the previous share sheet layout.
