The remaining group members — Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Tweedy, and Kimberley Walsh — made the announcement for a 2024 tour on Wednesday evening, which they have affectionately named The Girls Aloud Show.

Nadine Coyle elucidated that the late singer's vocals would "remain the same" on classic songs, as Sarah's contributions are fundamental to the band's signature sound.

Artists honor Sarah Harding, remembering her standout moments in hits such as 'Something New', 'Whole Lotta History', and 'The Promise', where her vocals became synonymous with the band's success.

As Nadine shared on Heart Breakfast, Sarah's memorable phrases like "walking primrose" and "take a walk on the wild side" are not only iconic, but integral to the band's identity. "They will be Sarah's bits. Why would we [change them]? They are her bits," Nadine affirms in remembrance of her friend.

In reflecting on performances and group gatherings without Sarah, Cheryl revealed that moments still feel surreal, as if they were waiting for her to arrive.
Nicola also expressed the constantly felt void, saying, "I came down this morning... and I still instinctively was like 'someone still isn't here yet'."

Showcasing their deep connection and unity, Kimberley highlighted, "We always talk about how much she loved Girls Aloud... It was just the best time ever for her... She would love that we were doing this."

Although reunion plans had been in the works for years, they halted when Sarah first became ill. The singer's passing a year before the band's anniversary delayed the plans even more, Cheryl notes, in an interview with British Vogue.

"The tour has got to be inclusive of Sarah because she’s such a massive part of our make-up... Sarah included," Cheryl continued, emphasizing the celebration of their 20-year journey together. However, the band has stated they will not be recording new music, opting instead to revisit their "rich back catalogue."
