The City of Stirling is celebrating the arrival of full-fibre broadband, offering average top speeds of 1,130Mbps, to over 6,900 additional homes and businesses for the first time. This significant upgrade, made possible by nexfibre's investment, has delighted residents who can now enjoy broadband speeds up to 25 times faster* than the local average.

The investment by nexfibre, a partner of Virgin Media O2, has allowed the expansion of their full-fibre wholesale network, bringing high-speed connectivity to Stirling. This multimillion-pound project aims to deliver ultrafast broadband connections to 5 million homes across the UK by 2026, with the potential to expand to an additional 2 million homes.

The completion of the first phase of nexfibre's work in Stirling now allows residents to access Virgin Media's services, providing top speeds of 1,130Mbps. These hyperfast connections cater to the needs of busy households, ensuring seamless remote work, Ultra HD streaming, video calls, and online gaming.
