The results from last week's poll reveal that the OnePlus Open has garnered immense praise and holds great potential. It is even considered the best in its class for markets outside of China. But here comes the twist, as depicted by the pie chart, 40% of voters showed interest in the OnePlus Open; however, they find the price tag too steep.

Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold5 by Samsung, the OnePlus Open is relatively cheaper (unless you take advantage of Samsung's frequent deals, but OnePlus also has its own deal). Nonetheless, when you consider the price point of £1,700/€1,800, a £100/€100 price difference seems insignificant. Unfortunately, this is not a problem that will be resolved overnight – even years after the first foldables hit the market, their prices remain quite high.

On the other hand, there were voters who expressed their lack of interest in any foldable device. However, it is unlikely that those considering a large horizontal foldable would opt for a smaller flip foldable as an alternative.

Setting aside the aforementioned, few believe that there is a better horizontal foldable currently available in their market. OnePlus (and, in all honesty, Oppo) deserve recognition for the remarkable hardware they have developed. Moreover, OxygenOS 13.2, equipped with the new foldable-centric features, managed to impress users, even surpassing the foldable version of One UI that Samsung has been refining for years.
